GeoScool offers live classes everyday to inspire your children to be creative and busy and think about the world around them.
The sessions take place to 2 parts, the first where the children get ideas and then there is a break for a couple of hours while they have a chance to try things out. In the second session the same day, they show what they have learnt and have the opportunity to take their learning further.
All GeoScool classes keep to the same theme each week. A recent topic has been water, so if children want to join in the science class they will learn about underwater ecosystems or write a poem about their fish in the writing class. You can join as many classes as you want each week or sign up to a weekly homeschool package to make it cheaper. Our prices are per family, so if you want to join your children or they have siblings they can join in. See what we're up to this week.
All you need is an internet enabled computer with video and microphone to join the live lessons. Craft sessions encourage children to recycle and use only what they have around the house (with your permission of course!).
Terri, GeoScool craft tutor, encourages recycling of old sheets as drop cloths to save your carpets!
Juliette loved the session.
"I love the ocean and crafts and seeing my friends online. We got to chat and make things together even though we can't be together."
"My 7-year-old son joined in Terri’s online craft lessons during the Easter holidays and thoroughly enjoyed them. Terri’s friendly and nurturing manner really helped to increase his confidence and interest in art. He recently said that he’d got ‘so much better at art since Terri."
"The lessons are pitched at the right level with small class numbers. The interactive style of Geovle and the ‘create' aspect of the lessons is a great way to reinforce the learning - making the virtual come to life!"
"We have used GeoVLE since the lockdown and Harry has loved every session with Terri. Engaging, motivational and pretty ‘cool’ to quote Harry! Brilliant way to be creative and stay connected with other small and like minded people... thank you!"
